A contract was completed with Algeria for 42x Mi-28NE

As reported on 28 Feb 2014 by ARMS-TASS, the "Russian Helicopters" holding company started fulfilling the largest contract of modern helicopter equipment for delivery to the Algerian Air Force.  A representative of the defense industrial complex reported this to a ARMS-TASS correspondent.

In total the Algerian Air Force will receive 6 modernized heavy Mi-26T2 heavy transport helicopters, 42 Mi-28N "Night Hunter" strike helicopters, and with the help of the Russian side, will modernize 39 Mi-8AMTSh transport-attack helicopters already in the Algerian military.  The total cost of the contract to deliver the new helicopters and remodel the already owned ones in the Algerian Air Force will cost around 2.7 billion dollars.

The executor of the contract from the Mi-26T2 and Mi-28N is the Joint Stock Company "Rostvertol" and the repair of the 39x Mi-8AMTSh will be carried out by the Ulan Ude Aviation Factory (UUAZ).  Both of these enterprises are a part of the "Russian Helicopters" holding.

С Алжиром заключен контракт на 42 вертолета Ми-28НЭ

Как сообщило 28 февраля 2014 года агентство АРМС-ТАСС, холдинг "Вертолеты России" приступил к выполнению крупнейшего контракта на поставку ВВС Алжира современной вертолетной техники. Об этом корреспонденту АРМС-ТАСС сообщил представитель оборонно-промышленного комплекса.

Всего ВВС Алжира получат 6 модернизированных тяжелых транспортных вертолетов Ми-26Т2, 42 ударных вертолета Ми-28Н "Ночной охотник" и с помощью российской стороны модернизируют 39 уже состоящих на вооружении транспортно- штурмовых вертолетов Ми-8АМТШ. Суммарная стоимость контракта на поставку новых вертолетов и ремонт уже имеющихся в составе ВВС Алжира винтокрылых машин составляет около 2,7 млрд долларов.

Исполнителем контракта по вертолетам Ми-26Т2 и Ми-28Н является ОАО "Роствертол", в то время как ремонт 39 вертолетов Ми-8АМТШ будет проводить Улан-Удэнский авиационный завод (УУАЗ). Оба предприятия входят в состав холдинга "Вертолеты России".
