S-300 Complex Repel a Simulated Attack in the Kaliningrad Oblast'

The Baltic Sea Fleet is carrying out a massive air defense exercise in the Kaliningrad Oblast'.  Air defenders are defending the western borders of our country.  Currently they are working out all possible scenarios of a simulated enemy attack.

The training syllabus units must repel an enemy air strike.  The maneuvers will commence with a forced march, a column of S-300 will move to the deployment site.  From there they will launch missiles against air targets.  Using radar, they will calculate the exact coordinates of the targets and among them may be ballistic missiles flying at supersonic speeds.

The S-300 complex - the base for all Russian Ar Defense.  The Russian system is often compared to the US Patriot:  but many of its characteristics, such as range to detect targets and destroy them, the S-300 is the more effective weapon.  The modernized S-400 has no comparison in the world.

В Калининградской области проходят масштабные учения сил противовоздушной обороны Балтийского флота. Ракетчики защищают западные рубежи нашей страны. Сейчас они отрабатывают всевозможные сценарии нападения условного противника.

По легенде учений, подразделения должны отразить авиаудар врага. Маневры начинаются с марш-броска — колонна комплексов С-300 направляется в так называемые точки развертывания. Оттуда будут запущены ракеты по воздушным целям. С помощью радиолокационного оборудования определяются точные координаты мишени, ею может быть даже баллистическая ракета, летящая на сверхзвуковой скорости.

Комплексы С-300 — основа российских зенитно-ракетных войск. Российскую систему часто сравнивают с американской Patriot. Но даже заокеанские специалисты признают: по многим характеристикам, например, дальности обнаружения целей и способам ее уничтожения С-300 куда более эффективное оружие. А современные С-400 и вовсе не имеют аналогов в мире.
